In true Ballet Manila fashion, the 23rd performance season will wrap up with the most special and newest double header, Deux. Ballet Manila’s frequent guest choreographer Martin Lawrance, who’s known for his work in “Rebel” and “Aria,” once again creates a choreographic gem with “The Winding Road” – a ballet inspired by the music of The Beatles. The other half of Deux is “Les Sylphides (Chopiniana),” a dreamy, romantic ballet featuring the the music of Frederic Chopin, which creates a telling parting statement for this season. As Lisa says it herself, “We can do classical and contemporary, we can do children's repertoire and two historical retrospective programs, we can do anything!”
“Deux” will make its double premiere on March 2 and 3, 2019 and on March 9 and 10, 2019.
